Truths About Car Cleaning in Albuquerque
Hey, Burqueños!
Cars are awesome, aren’t they? They take us to fun places, help in bringing groceries, and sometimes, they take us and our loved ones to amazing places. But, there's a lot of confusion about cleaning them. Let's bust some myths!
Cleaning Myths:
1. Everyday Washing: Some believe washing a car every day keeps it super clean. But that's not true. Too much washing can be bad. It can strip away the protective layers. It is very important to keep wax or ceramic protection on your car. The sun is hard on our paint, plastics and the inside of our cars. Remember to apply protection to your vehicle at least once a month if it’s a wax.
2. Any Soap Will Do: Nope! Using things like dish soap can hurt our car’s paint. Always use soaps made just for cars. Your car’s paint is made up of specific materials that need proper care. The paint on your car is like your skin. You should clean and protect it with the right soaps. You wouldn’t want to wash your body with dish soap. Your car doesn’t like that either.
3. More Soap = Cleaner Car: Not really! Too much soap can leave marks. Use just enough to make it bubbly. Adding too much soap to your water will make it too thick. This will make it harder to dry and leave dried soap on your paint and windows. This is called streaking, and no that doesn’t mean what you and your college buddies did back in the day. This is left over soap residue dried on the paint making it look dull and hazy.
Remember, every car has its story. From the first day we get it, to all our adventures together. So, let’s treat our cars with the love they deserve!
